A leading company in the energy and telecom cable systems industry is seeking a Quality Manager in Tetla, Mexico. The role involves ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System and fostering a commitment to quality to achieve customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the industry, preferably with electrical and/or power cables.
  • Availability to travel.

Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our Quality team based in Tetla / Tlaxcala, Mexico. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System, following all ISO 9001 procedures across the plant, and fostering a strong commitment to quality to achieve complete customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Implement and maintain a quality system that meets or exceeds ISO 9001 and TL 9000 standards, with the authority to assign responsibilities within the team.
  2. Work with processes to upgrade and maintain 8-D equipment according to team specifications, maintaining logs and signing off on corrective actions in coordination with plant management and operations.
  3. Ensure nonconformities are recorded, communicate with customers to confirm receipt, and coordinate responses and approvals within the required timeframe for corrective actions.
  4. Provide weekly and monthly reports to plant management.
  5. Maintain the supplier evaluation system for raw materials, inputs, and tooling, and continuously improve the quality system based on supplier performance.
  6. Review customer requirements and specifications to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  7. Collaborate with production staff to identify and implement continuous improvements to ensure high-quality products.
  8. Coordinate and oversee final audit procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrician, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the industry, preferably with electrical and/or power cables.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and teamwork skills.
  • Availability to travel.
