A leading company in mission-critical infrastructure technologies is seeking a Test Technician in Monterrey. The role involves directing test technicians, creating test plans, and ensuring high-quality test products. Candidates should have a background in mechanical engineering and experience in thermal systems testing.

Formación

  • 2-3 years’ experience in thermal systems testing.
  • Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal Management Products preferred.
  • Ability to configure data acquisition systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Lab Supervisor to direct Test Technicians as needed in daily activity including job assignments and expectation of completion.
  • Work closely with design engineering group to ensure test procedures/data meets expectations.
  • Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations.
  • Reviews test progress and evaluates results.
  • Perform required presentations utilizing automated test equipment for customer visits.
  • Perform test validations.
  • Perform lab instrumentation calibrations within the lab.
  • Provide continuous support to engineering and support groups in order to provide internal and external customers with outstanding final quality test products.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in thermal systems testing. Other equivalent combinations of education and hands on experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of Vertiv Thermal Management Products preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of psychometrics, vapor compression refrigeration cycle, and their methods of test.
  • Knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits.
  • Thorough knowledge of networks including Ethernet and serial coms.
  • Knowledge of digital and electronic circuitry.
  • Ability to configure data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to use temperature and pressure measurement instruments.
  • Ability to use standard electrical instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret industry test standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret product schematics.
  • Ability to be hands-on with products to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
  • Leadership and communication skills. Ability to give direction to Test Technicians & communicate test issues to all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer relations.
  • Self-directed, goodproblem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with thermal / fluid sciences emphasis or equivalent degree.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Work in short periods of time in outdoor conditions
  • Capable to perform lifting of small components
