Job request title: Test Technician

Job description: Assemble and maintain tests to ensure that products perform their intended functions satisfactorily by applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1. Under close supervision, perform a variety of routine technical tasks requiring an elementary understanding of all technical objectives.
2. Set up necessary test equipment and fixtures.
3. Provide support to areas such as research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, or process improvement.
4. Work as a member of a technical team, utilizing effective communication skills. Contacts are primarily within the immediate work unit.
5. Utilize routine test or diagnostic equipment. Learn and use software tools.
6. Be receptive to mentoring from peers in the technical community. Participate in developing new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in work processes.
7. Document job-specific activities such as electronic design, modifications, data collection, calibration, and Design of Experiment data.
8. Utilize schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures.
9. Operate in accordance with corporate, operations, and division policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring compliance with business ethics. Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety, and health procedures.
10. Perform other tasks as requested by leadership within applicable guidelines.
