Job summary

Jabil in Nuevo León, Apodaca, seeks a technically skilled technician to support test processes and line maintenance. You will provide input for performance appraisals, assist engineers with new equipment, and help colleagues on the shift with technical issues.

You will liaise with manufacturing to prioritize repairs, manage spare parts, and ensure preventative maintenance is performed timely without disrupting production. Strong PC skills and the ability to interpret data are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Proficient PC skills including Windows operating systems.
• Familiar with Jabil software packages.
• Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide input for performance appraisals.
• Assist Test Engineers when commissioning new test equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to technicians on the same shift.
• Provide line support to manufacturing for all test processes.
• Respond to machine down calls promptly.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to set repair priorities.
• Ensure spares are available for allocated equipment.
• Schedule preventative maintenance at specified intervals.
• Minimize maintenance impact on production schedules.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Test Engineers.
• Instruct operators on safe use of test equipment.
• Produce daily line issue reports.
• Produce weekly/quarterly downtime reports.
• Source spares from cost-effective suppliers.
