A leading technology firm in Mexicali is seeking a Test Engineer II to develop and implement test solutions for Facility Controls Systems. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in test engineering, a B.S. in a relevant engineering field, and proficiency in LabView. This role involves software development for testing processes and requires strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Formación

• 2+ years’ experience in Test Engineering Roles or Test equipment support.
• Experience using LabView and working with Electrical and Mechanical schematics.
• Experience in Test Project execution (Design, Installation, Verification, and Validation).

Job Description

Test Engineer II position in the SIL FCS group is responsible for Facility Controls Systems (FCS) Test Software development and implementation, test solutions verification and validation, Commissioning Test and Correlation test processes for the new test solutions needed at Hon Mexicali Campus. This position is also responsible for the definition of new Test Equipment communication protocols for Hydraulic, Electrical, Mechanical, Customer Furnished equipment and Units Under Test to define the required FCS Test Solution. Also responsible for engineering substantiation thru basic analytical capabilities and coordinate the implementation of the test solution through the Hon Aerospace Engineering Process.

• Define Test Design Concept based on test requirements, available Lab Test Equipment information and test facility and other test assets that involve new test capabilities to be implemented at Hon Mexicali Campus
• Develop Test Tools and implement the required test solution for Development Testing and Production test programs. Define Test solution using Agile Methodologies
• Generate Test solution, execute V&V. Have the capability to build basic to complex test solutions in LabView.
• Create evidence and documentation for the Design Reviews required to consolidate the Test Solutions design process
• Understanding of Electric design process and electrical drawing standards.
• Keep tracking and document Lesson Learned, best practices, Test Problems and cost and cycle time reduction opportunities associated with the FCS Test SW Tool dev process
• Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication in Spanish and English. Effective communication with management, test leads and Hon MRTC support groups
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications. Position is responsible of FCS SW Development process test engineering process and present status to project stakeholders in a regular basis

• 2+ Years’ experience in Test Engineering Roles or Test equipment support
• B.S. degree in Engineering in Electronics, Cybernetic, Aerospace or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience using LabView and Electrical, Mechanical schematics
