Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Testing Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, this role involves responsibilities for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

FUNCTIONAL

• Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (i.e., Python, LabVIEW, Perl, etc.).
• Develops instrument drivers.
• Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level.
• Designs and supports functional test hardware, computer platforms, and interfaces.
• Develops test plans and procedures.
• Coordinates third-party development of functional tests and test fixtures.
• Develops quotations for functional test hardware and software.

ENVIRONMENTAL STRESS SCREENING (ESS)

• Designs, develops, and/or supports environmental test programs, procedures, and profiles.
• Designs and/or supports mechanical/electrical interfaces for product tests.
• Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures.
• Coordinates third-party development of ESS activities.

SYSTEMS & SOFTWARE

• Analyzes and interprets software or system-level diagnostic failures (software and hardware).
• Develops and/or modifies software or system-level plans and tests.
• Develops and/or supports comprehensive test programs.
• Develops quotes for test development and enhancements.
• Performs design for testability analysis (DFT).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics.
• Experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English level.
• Experience with test instrumentation.
• Experience developing/modifying test programs using various languages (C#, Java, LabVIEW, Perl, Python, or others).
• Strong experience and knowledge using flying probe test systems.
• Basic knowledge of C/C++ scripting, familiarity with MATLAB and LabVIEW test stand software platforms, and other software skills such as Python.
