What We're Looking For

This role is responsible for the strategic design and development of manufacturing test solutions, including both hardware and software, for electro‑mechanical products. The primary function is to use current tools and technologies to create efficient and optimized manufacturing processes.

The position requires proposing and creating new solutions, as well as providing recommendations to leadership on the adoption of new manufacturing technologies. This role offers opportunities for future advancement into leadership positions within the technical operations side of the Supply Chain, which would involve leading and developing test strategies for a wide range of Zebra products.

Chihuahua‑based role‑ onsite presence required to support manufacturing activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the end-to-end design and execution of test strategies and solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop and deploy robust test software and hardware for the calibration and functional testing of complex electronic and opto‑mechanical products (e.g., specialty printers, mobile computers, laser & imaging scanners).
• Strategize and drive manufacturing‑focused projects to create low‑cost, highly efficient, and sustainable processes within Zebra's industrial standards framework.
• Validate the precision and capability of test systems by performing rigorous Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Cpk and GR&R.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for test solutions, including drawings, schematics, and technical specifications, according to departmental best practices.
• Provide critical test support throughout the product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through sustaining production.
• Champion continuous improvement by benchmarking solutions against emerging technologies to enhance product quality, throughput, and efficiency within a Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 context.
• Enhance and innovate upon existing test systems and technologies, applying new analytical tools to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with design and manufacturing engineering communities to articulate test system designs and align on technical solutions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Computer Sc./Physics) or Major in Physics
• Minimum Work Experience: 5+ years

Key Skills And Competencies

• Expert in (5+ yrs.) Python scripting, Labview, C++
• Minimum 2 yrs of experience in use of Data analytics tools and development – Power BI/Looker
• Expert in Technical analysis with problem‑solving capability associated with the manufacturing or functionality of electronic systems
