BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a Test Engineer in Mexico to develop and support measurement and testing equipment used in manufacturing and new projects. You’ll work with Manufacturing and Control Engineering to improve equipment performance and safety, while analyzing data to drive improvements.

Requirements include a engineering degree in electronics/mechatronics/electrical fields and 2+ years in a similar role. Travel is available, English is Business level.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 2+ years in a similar role.
• Experience with electrical testing and automation.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Manage software for testing equipment.
• Back up programs used in testing equipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Control Engineering to optimize equipment performance and safety.
• Address corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Perform statistical analysis of testing equipment to identify failures and improvements.
• Update control systems on measurement equipment.
• Manage measurement parameters per specifications.
• Verify production steps via system logic.
• Ensure equipment remains current and functional.
• Conduct annual backups of equipment under responsibility.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Test Engineer. Efficiently develop and support measurement and testing equipment used in manufacturing processes and new projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and contributing to continuous improvement proposals for applied processes and equipment

Key responsibilities

• Manage the software required for testing equipment.
• Maintain proper backups of programs used in testing equipment.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Control Engineering to optimize equipment performance and ensure safety.
• Participate in both corrective and preventive actions related to maintenance issues.
• Conduct statistical studies and analysis of measurement and testing equipment to detect failures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Update control systems on measurement equipment.
• Manage measurement parameters in accordance with specifications.
• Verify compliance with defined production process steps through system logic.
• Ensure measurement and testing equipment remains current and operational.
• Perform annual backups of equipment under responsibility

What we’re looking for

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Schooling: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related

Experience Time in similar position: 2+ years in a similar role.
