BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our PowerDrive System business unit team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that components and products are consistently manufactured in full compliance with specified requirements. They apply knowledge and a solid understanding of product and process engineering. They improve supplier operations to achieve reductions in lead time, inventory, PPM/total cost, and manufacturing system efficiency.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience in a similar role: 3 years or more in a similar position.
Required technical knowledge: Automotive manufacturing processes, Core Tools, ISO/TS (IATF) & ISO 14001 quality systems, statistical methods, problem-solving techniques.
Other requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the local BorgWarner Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every reasonable precaution in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
