A leading engineering firm located in San Luis Potosí is seeking a qualified professional to execute functional testing and improve testing processes for communication protocols in SEL devices. Ideal candidates should have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of electric power systems and protocol testing is essential, along with excellent team collaboration and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform and document test processes.
2. Execute functional testing related to communication protocols in SEL relays.
3. Improve the performance and efficiency of the testing area by continuously identifying, measuring, improving, and analyzing well-defined processes.
4. Understand, create, and simplify processes.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience.
• Sound knowledge of electric power systems and control.
• Sound knowledge to execute functional testing in SEL devices related to communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, PRP, PTP, IEC-61850 standard (GOOSE, MMS, SV).
• Sound knowledge in troubleshooting serial and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Familiarity with scripting languages.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills (English).
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal customers.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).
