The Test Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing test and project management activities associated specifically with Landis+Gyr account activities

Core Area of Responsibility:

• Support Contract Manufacturers to ensure test are performed in accordance with Landis+Gyr manufacturing test specifications.
• Troubleshoot and address production test-related issues.
• Continually improve the existing test software and hardware with emphasis on flexibility and standardization in mind.
• Support Supply Chain in evaluating potential low-cost contract manufacturers' test capabilities.
• Streamline Manufacturing Test Development Process for internal and contract manufacturers.
• Perform statistical analysis to ensure test equipment is performing to Landis+Gyr quality requirements (e.g. Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility, Cpk, Ppk, etc.).
• Represent the company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external organizations.
• Working closely with the New Product Initiative (NPI) Team to develop manufacturing test capabilities of new products.
• Provide reports as required by Landis+Gyr (weekly, daily, etc.).
• Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301 as applicable

Required Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred with 10+ hands-on years' experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing test environment
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with National Instruments TestStand and LabVIEW
• 10% travel is expected

Required Skills:

• Must have strong troubleshooting skills in test systems
• In-depth knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of NI TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, and Visual Basic
• Familiar with testing RF hardware devices and RF test equipment
• In-depth knowledge and experience of software development life cycle, system and integration testing, development of test plans, testing processes and techniques, manual and automated testing
• Knowledge of database application SQL or MS Access
• Team player with ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Self-motivated and result-oriented with technical aptitude
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
