Nidec Corporation is seeking an experienced test engineer to lead verification and validation of electro-mechanical products. You will design test plans, write procedures, execute tests, and analyze results while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality from development to production release.
The role requires hands-on testing, strong problem-solving, and expertise with power electronics, test equipment, and documentation.
This role is responsible for the complete verification and validation of the new products and working with a cross-functional team to continually improve testing of existing products. This individual will scope test plans, write test procedures, perform test execution and review and analyze results and will be capable of providing technical expertise in the design, programming, installation, testing and qualification of modules, systems, and equipment to test the electro-mechanical aspects of the products. They will collaborate with Operations and Production teams in NPI and the testing of returned units, collecting data and analyzing patterns.
Support at off-site locations as required.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. The employee must be able to climb ladders and move over, under and around large drives, wires, and motors. The vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust, focus and the ability to differentiate colors.
