Nidec Corporation is seeking an experienced test engineer to lead verification and validation of electro-mechanical products. You will design test plans, write procedures, execute tests, and analyze results while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality from development to production release.

The role requires hands-on testing, strong problem-solving, and expertise with power electronics, test equipment, and documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; MS preferred.
• 3+ years in product development/production with test engineering; 4+ years preferred.
• Experience with power electronics components: SCR, TRIAC, IGBT, MOSFET; inverters and DC-DC converters.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data.
• Familiar with standard EE lab equipment: oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, power supplies.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing, reliability and robustness testing.
• Experience with automated test equipment and system-level testing.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; able to work in fast-paced settings.

Responsabilidades

• Lead test development and improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Identify and implement best-in-class testing processes for qualification.
• Qualify and procure new manufacturing test equipment.
• Support engineering lab activities and test product designs to meet requirements.
• Test products from development through qualification and production release.
• Perform hands-on testing to verify specifications.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in Design Reviews for New Product Development and improvements.
• Document test procedures and testing infrastructures.
• Analyze existing electro-mechanical and software test fixtures for ongoing improvements.
