Formación

  • At least 2 years of laboratory testing experience.
  • 3 years of experience in automotive, environmental, and material field tests.
  • Knowledge of FMVSS Requirements and ECE regulations is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise the Technical operations of the Laboratory for compliance testing.
  • Conduct and analyze material laboratory tests such as tensile strength and hardness.
  • Provide technical support to quality and engineering teams.

Descripción del empleo

• Technical Supervision of the Materials Laboratory of the POL Monterrey Plant.

• Strong knowledge of materials processing and properties (polymers)

• Knowledge of Environmental Tests, Climatic, Corrosion, and Humidity.

• Experience with performing and conducting material laboratory tests such as tensile strength, IZOD impact, hardness, color & haze measurements, fogging test, and others.

• Experience in running FTIR, DSC and TGA equipment and analyzing data.

• Verification and analysis of test results for compliance with legal and client requirements.

• Establish and verify test methods based on customer requirements, industrial specifications, POL specifications and Government Regulations for the evaluation of external lighting products.

• Technical support to the quality and engineering areas in the analysis for the solution of problems related to POL products.

• Monitoring of laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance programs.

• Test support for the evaluation of defective parts for warranties.

• Support DV (Design Validation) and PV (Product Validation) tests in POL for new model products and creation of test reports.

•Always looking for improvements to perform test processes implementing new technologies hardware and software.

• Know and comply with and enforce the Environment, health and Safety (EH&S) policy and guidelines of the plant.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another engineering degree with at least 2 years of laboratory testing experience
  • Experience in the Automotive Lighting industry is preferred but not required
  • Engineering career and 3 Years of experience in automotive, environmentalandmaterial field tests.
  • Microsoft Office
  • Core Tools (Lab Equipment Software / Hardware Operational Usage)
  • +3 Years in quality for Automotive OEM (Tier1).
  • Knowledge of FMVSS Requirements, ECE and other Government Regulations.
