Meet the Team

We are the Cloud Networking Product Operations Test Team in Cisco’s Supply Chain Organization, supporting new product introductions for data center switches. We support the Nexus switches of next-generation data centers and cloud switches, which feature high performance, low latency, and outstanding power efficiency in a wide range of compact form factors. The series contains groundbreaking technologies, making it the best in the industry.

We are an outstanding team where you will be working with HW/SW/Diag Engineers, Product Operations teams, the Central team, Mfg Operations, and Contract Manufacturers. There are opportunities to initiate projects from the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to the End of Life (EOL) phase.

Your Impact

The organization is seeking a Test Development Engineer. This is your opportunity to innovate and grow your skills!

The role's responsibilities include:

1. End-to-end test development of data center switching products; develop test automation scripts using Python.
2. Support EMS partners and address product-related testing issues; collaborate with the product team to implement test strategies, plans, and processes.
3. Generate product-specific test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements; design, build, and deploy test platforms for Cisco's global manufacturing partners.
4. Analyze manufacturing yield issues and field escapes; drive issues to closure with preventive measures; improve and optimize testing processes.
5. Specify, develop, and procure test equipment, fixtures, and solutions; define debug processes for manufacturing test engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSEE or BSCE degree, or similar experience in electronics manufacturing or automated testing of hardware/software; proficiency in English.
• 5+ years of test engineering experience, understanding of DFT techniques, and basic knowledge of Cisco or industry-standard tests.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with version control and CI tools like Github and Jenkins.
• Manufacturing and hardware test experience; ability to debug and analyze manufacturing yield and test issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data networking experience; knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Ability to multitask and solve complex problems.
• Proactive, adaptable, with a desire to learn and grow.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Project management knowledge.
