Job summary

Carrier is seeking an Associate Engineer to design and run electrical, mechanical, and performance tests for air-cooled chillers in a lab environment.

You will prepare reports, interpret results, and liaise with engineering teams to drive safe, compliant, and efficient product validation cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Test Technician or Maintenance Technician.
• Knowledge of AHRI 550/590, ASHRAE 30, and/or similar standards.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, air-cooled or WSHP chillers, and associated electrical/mechanical systems.
• Experience following maintenance programs for testing laboratories.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to lab protocols.
• Basic English proficiency in the 40–60% range.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform electrical and functional testing of air-cooled chillers per AHRI/ASHRAE standards.
• Execute tests within timelines, prepare test reports, ensure report quality.
• Support lab certifications and accreditations by UL, ISO, and ETL.
• Promote continuous improvement tools like 5S, Kaizen, and 3A; participate in related events.
• Follow and implement maintenance programs for testing laboratories.
