Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company is seeking an Electro/Mechatronic maintenance technician in Mexico to attend equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure machine readiness. You will work closely with mechanics to maintain production lines and adhere to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has electro/mechatronic training, PLC knowledge, and hands-on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, and electronics.

Qualifications

• Theoretical-practical knowledge of PLC function preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
• Knowledge of electricity and electronics preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend calls when equipment has problems or is down.
• Check machines before starting work area and ensure good condition.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs per production equipment F76PM019.
• Register preventive maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Keep area clean and orderly.
• Have tools available for any call.
• Suggest ideas for improvement on equipment.
• Coordinate with Mechanic and Sr. Mechanic on shift changes.
• Comply with EH&S and LOTO procedures when required.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• To attend any call when equipment has problems or is down.
• Must be presented in advance to the assigned work area to check that the machines are going to work and assure they are in good condition.
• Follows the applicable preventive maintenance programs, described in the list of production equipment F76PM019.
• Registers correctly the preventive maintenance of the equipment assigned.
• Maintains his/her area clean and orderly.
• Always has his /her tool available for any call that is made.
• Participate and suggest ideas for improvement on any equipment.
• Follow of activities with Mechanic and Sr. Mechanic fellows when required for change of shift.
• Comply and follow-up Safety and Hygiene procedures (EH&S) and Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO) when required.

Education and Experience:

• An Electro mechanic, Electric, Mechanic technical level. Preferably Electro mechanic, Mechatronic Engineer.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of the function of a PLC preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of electricity and electronics preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferably.
