Job summary

BD is seeking an Electro Mechanic/Mechatronic-leaning technician in Nogales to handle equipment maintenance and on-call repairs. The role requires readiness to inspect machines, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold safety protocols. 2 years of related experience is preferred.

The position offers on-site work within the Nogales industrial area, with opportunities to contribute to equipment improvements and safe operation practices.

Qualifications

• Electro/mechanic technical level; Mechatronic Engineer preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of PLC.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of electricity and electronics.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend calls when equipment has problems or is down.
• Verify machines are ready for operation and in good condition.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs (F76PM019).
• Record preventive maintenance activities accurately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Keep tools ready for any call.
• Suggest improvement ideas for equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanics during shift changes.
• Follow EH&S and Lock Out Tag Out procedures when required.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• To attend any call when equipment has problems or is down.
• Must be presented in advance to the assigned work area to check that the machines are going to work and assure they are in good condition.
• Follows the applicable preventive maintenance programs, described in the list of production equipment F76PM019.
• Registers correctly the preventive maintenance of the equipment assigned.
• Maintains his/her area clean and orderly.
• Always has his /her tool available for any call that is made.
• Participate and suggest ideas for improvement on any equipment.
• Follow of activities with Mechanic and Sr. Mechanic fellows when required for change of shift.
• Comply and follow-up Safety and Hygiene procedures (EH&S) and Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO) when required.

Education and Experience:

• An Electro mechanic, Electric, Mechanic technical level. Preferably Electro mechanic, Mechatronic Engineer.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of the function of a PLC preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of electricity and electronics preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferably.

Language Skills: Beginner
