Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader seeking an electro-mechanic maintenance professional in Nogales, Mexico. You will respond to equipment issues, inspect machines, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure production uptime.

Ideal candidates have PLC knowledge, experience with pneumatics and hydraulics, and a background in electricity/electronics, with 2 years in a similar role preferred.

Qualifications

• Electro/mechanical technician with theoretical and practical PLC knowledge.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred.
• Background in electricity and electronics is desirable.
• 2 years in a similar maintenance role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend calls when equipment has problems or is down.
• Inspect assigned work area to ensure machines are operational.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs for production equipment.
• Log preventive maintenance activities accurately.
• Keep the area clean and orderly.
• Have tools ready for calls and repairs.
• Suggest improvements for equipment when possible.
• Coordinate with mechanics and senior mechanics during shift changes.
• Adhere to EH&S and LOTO procedures when required.

Job Responsibilities

• To attend any call when equipment has problems or is down.
• Must be presented in advance to the assigned work area to check that the machines are going to work and assure they are in good condition.
• Follows the applicable preventive maintenance programs, described in the list of production equipment F76PM019.
• Registers correctly the preventive maintenance of the equipment assigned.
• Maintains his/her area clean and orderly.
• Always has his /her tool available for any call that is made.
• Participate and suggest ideas for improvement on any equipment.
• Follow of activities with Mechanic and Sr. Mechanic fellows when required for change of shift.
• Comply and follow-up Safety and Hygiene procedures (EH&S) and Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO) when required.

Education and Experience

• An Electro mechanic, Electric, Mechanic technical level. Preferably Electro mechanic, Mechatronic Engineer.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of the function of a PLC preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
• Theoretical-practical knowledge of electricity and electronics preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position preferably.
