Position: Field Service Technician I - Morelia
Location: Morelia
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment within an assigned territory to ensure operational continuity and high customer satisfaction.
- Work outside the assigned area as required for projects, coverage, and demand peaks.
- Own customer issues or incidents until resolved satisfactorily, in accordance with SLAs.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace components on NCR Voyix-supported equipment, including POS, self-service kiosks, servers, and peripherals.
- Install new equipment or upgrade existing systems per SOW.
- Assist in site preparation, including cabling, equipment setup, and testing; perform modular exchanges and replacements as needed.
- Complete required training and certifications, which may include working at heights and using power tools.
- Address customer concerns, escalating issues as necessary to team members or management.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and communicate effectively at the local level.
- Represent NCR Voyix positively, reflecting the company's image and reputation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and component replacements.
- Manage all assets used in service delivery, including tools, software, vehicles, and documentation.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and recordkeeping.
- Provide accurate, timely reports of activities, calls, expenses, and asset information for billing purposes.
- Dispatch based on calls or self-managed schedules to meet SLAs.
- Travel as needed, lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs., and work in various physical positions.
- Participate in shift rotations, including nights and weekends, as required to support 24/7 customer support and deployment projects.
- Strive to meet KPIs related to customer satisfaction, quality, cost, and safety.
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic computer skills, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in hardware maintenance and support, problem-solving skills, and ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude; experience with PC hardware, networking, and peripherals.
- High integrity, teamwork-oriented, and adaptable to flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or certifications in a technical field.
- Previous experience with NCR or similar equipment.
- Recognized certification in electronics or IT.
- Experience with EPOS maintenance or installation; strong desktop hardware background if limited EPOS experience.
