ASFG in Mexico is seeking a Technology Integration Coach to lead schoolwide planning and improve student learning through strategic use of instructional technology.

You will train teachers, coordinate digital citizenship initiatives, and develop a coherent tech curriculum across grades 3-12, partnering with the Instructional Programs Director.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven improvement, and staying current with emerging technologies to empower teachers and students for the future.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Current teaching credential preferred (or 12 semester hours of educational credits).
• Minimum of three years of full-time classroom teaching experience; experience teaching technology is a plus.
• Experience providing professional development using modeling, mentoring, coaching, or group workshops.

Responsabilidades

• Lead schoolwide planning and improvement initiatives via LITT with technology instructors and administrators.
• Coordinate Digital Citizenship policies and conduct parent/student meetings.
• Develop a coherent, future-oriented student technology learning curriculum across grades 3-12.
• Coach teachers on instructional technology expectations and integration strategies.
• Support data collection and analysis on technology integration progress.
• Manage the makerspace and oversee student makerspace activities.

The Technology Integration Coach improves student performance by working with teachers to optimize
the use of instructional technology in the classroom. This position also establishes a coherent,
schoolwide, future-oriented vision for students’ technology learning and collaborates with staff to ensure
that students acquire the tech-related skills that they need in order to thrive now and in the future.

FUNCTIONS

Strategic Planning and Improvement

• Leads schoolwide planning and improvement initiatives through the Learning, Innovation and Technology Team (LITT), which is composed of technology instructors, section and all-school administrators, and the Technology Manager
• Plans for and leads monthly LITT meetings.

Digital Citizenship

• Coordinates / Oversees ASFGs digital citizenship policies and practices
• Conduct Digital Citizenship parent and student meetings in Middle School and High School.

Student Technology Curriculum

• Works with technology instructors and Instructional Programs Director to:
  • Establish and maintain a coherent set of future-oriented student technology learning expectations for technology classes as well as for subject-area integration.
  • Help create grade-level scope and sequences for student technology learning expectations when needed.

Teacher Training/Coaching

• Works with Instructional Programs Director and principals to establish a clear set of instructionaltechnology expectations for teachers as well as expectations for which tech skills/concepts theyneed to teach to students.
• With a focus on grades 3-12, assesses instructional technology competencies among teacherswith regards to:
  • Their ability to use technology in their instruction to enhance student learning
  • Their ability to teach students the tech skills/concepts that are integrated in their subject-
    areas.

• Works with section administrators and the Instructional Programs Director to set goals forimproving staff technology competencies and to plan staff professional development
• Collaborates with teachers in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons,and supports the teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms
• Promotes model instructional practices and the role of technology in them
• Besides one-on-one coaching, uses a variety of methods of training staff: modeling, small groupworkshops, large group presentations, or whole-school sessions; may also recommend externaltraining
• Investigates, evaluates, and disseminates information on best practices for technologyintegration, sources of information on trends, research, and applications related to technologyuse in the educational setting.
• Collects and analyzes data on the integration of technology at ASFG and measures progress for instructional improvement.
• Maintains a current expertise of technology integration strategies and coaching pedagogy.

Educational Technology Resources

• Works with Instructional Programs Director, principals and Technology Manager to:
  • gather data on the educational technology (hardware & software) being used schoolwide
  • assess the appropriateness of the technology and effectiveness of how it’s being used
  • evaluate and recommend instructional technology materials and software to ensureinfrastructure and tools are available to carry out school and technology initiatives.
• Works with teachers to help them select digital and physical tech resources to enhance learning
• Works with Instruction Programs Director to manage academic licenses
• Coordinates with the Tech Center to ensure the smooth and successful deployment of neweducational technologies.

Makerspace

• Manages the makerspace room and resources, which includes:
  • evaluating and selecting materials
  • organizing student makerspace activities
  • overseeing the use of makerspace

Student Support

• Provides extra 1-1 laptop support for individual students entering ASFG after the 7th grade.
• Determines the needs of individual students, and develops methods of incorporating interactivetechnology to improve and enhance their learning.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Attends and actively participates in administrative and section staff meetings to which they areinvited.
• Updates the ASFG Technology website or web pages.

Work Hours / Dates

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45am - 2:45pm
Wednesday: 7:45am to 4:00pm

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Current teaching credential is preferred (or 12 semester hours of educational credits in theirteaching area)
• A minimum of three years of successful full-time experience as a classroom teacher; experienceteaching technology classes to students is beneficial
• Experience providing professional development for teachers or other adults in the integration oftechnology for instruction using all of the following modes: modeling, mentoring, one-on-onecoaching, small group workshops, large group presentations.
