Job summary

Scania Nederland B.V. is seeking a trainee level technician to support vehicle maintenance and repairs in our Cancun workshop. You will learn on the job, assist technicians, and develop skills toward more complex tasks, while strictly adhering to safety standards and workshop procedures.

You will help ensure proper stamping, document work done, and contribute to process improvements as you gain experience and knowledge of Scania products and services in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• One year in a similar position is required.
• Knowledge of Scania products and services is expected.
• Familiarity with DOS, DCS, SRS and SHE standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support technicians for vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Ensure correct stamping of the work being performed.
• Communicate completion of work to maintain workflow.
• Propose and follow up on improvement plans.

Ensure customer satisfaction through preventive maintenance tasks, while learning the profession and developing skills to achieve more complex maintenance and repairs, complying with all safety standards in the workshop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure support to technicians for vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Guarantee the correct stamping of the work being performed.
• Ensure process flow by communicating that the work has been finished.
• Achieve the implementation of improvement proposals

TASKS

• Check availability of tools and parts to be used, retrieve them from the warehouse.
• Check availability of maintenance information.
• Ensure application of work methods.
• Perform visual inspections of the vehicle.
• Manage any deviations that arise.
• Wash parts and components.
• Start the work order.
• Prepare the vehicle or component.
• Search for information in the system.
• Perform maintenance.
• Clean the work area and return used tools.
• Communicate to the workshop manager that the assignment is finished.
• Propose solutions.
• Follow up on established improvement plans.

EDUCATION

• High school, preparatory or technical degree completed.
