The Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise in IBM Sterling Integrator and supporting EDI projects for the organization. Works closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain integration solutions using IBM Sterling Integrator and EDI. Responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of the integration solutions and providing support and maintenance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using IBM Sterling Integrator and EDI
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to design and implement integration solutions that meet business requirements
  • Develop custom maps, business processes, and user exits in IBM Sterling Integrator
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data consistency and accuracy
  • Develop custom EDI mappings, transactions, and workflows
  • Configure and troubleshoot EDI protocols such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and TRADACOMS
  • Configure and manage partner and trading profiles in IBM Sterling Integrator and EDI systems
  • Monitor integration solutions and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for integration solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with new IBM Sterling Integrator and EDI features and functionalities and recommend improvements to existing solutions
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to use integration solutions effectively
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using IBM Sterling Integrator and EDI
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Sterling Integrator architecture, configuration, and administration
  • Experience developing custom maps, business processes, and user exits using IBM Sterling Integrator’s graphical mapping tool
  • Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques using IBM Sterling Integrator’s built-in tools and scripting languages such as XSLT, JavaScript, or Java
  • Experience developing custom EDI mappings, transactions, and workflows using EDI software such as Gentran, TrustedLink, or BizTalk
  • Knowledge of EDI protocols such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and TRADACOMS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills to interact with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
