Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager to oversee supplier selection, part validation, and cost/risk reduction across design, NPI, and production phases. The role requires rapid adaptation to changing project requirements and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will manage BOM evolution, lead negotiations, and ensure qualified components are ready for procurement per Jabil standards, with possible involvement of multiple projects and indirect reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain; 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Strong problem solving, analytical, negotiation, project management and people skills
• Advanced Excel and ability to read 2D/3D drawings and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Manage BOM pricing through design and mass production milestones.
• Resolve cost differences and supply chain impacts from BOM changes or design shifts.
• Solicit and coordinate DFM feedback for product/process optimization.
• Lead supplier selection in line with commodity management.
• Negotiate with suppliers and mitigate risk across projects.
• Guide buyers and ensure clean-to-build part status through design phases.
• Drive Early Supplier Involvement and NPI supplier qualification.
• Coordinate with supply chain to minimize inventory and optimize costs.
