You will belong to a Regional Supply Chain Operations team responsible for guiding and leading our manufacturing partners to meet customer expectations, as well as helping Cisco create, implement, and adopt new processes, platforms, and technologies that enable a better customer experience.

The Technical Operations Manager is the primary technical interface to the Manufacturing Partner site and is accountable for driving both Operational Excellence (Delivery, Quality, and Cost) and Factory Excellence (capability, efficiency, security, and sustainability). This position leads a team of Engineers in fields such as Test/Software Development, Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing, to drive product quality in the factory. The position requires strong knowledge of Test infrastructure, PCBA manufacturing operations, and SMT technology roadmap. This leadership role works with the Director of Regional Operations.

Your impact
  • Responsible for leading manufacturing execution excellence and customer experience through operational performance on delivery, quality, cost, and transformation.
  • Ensure EMS Partners' sites have the outstanding Quality Management System (QMS) deployed throughout their operations.
  • Lead operational excellence metrics such as ETE Yield, timely Delivery, CT2R, NMS budget, etc., and be accountable for related business results.
  • Address factory-related quality issues and manage line alerts and stops.
  • Drive cycle time reduction, test optimizations, and quality improvements to meet and enhance cost and lead times.
  • Support the enablement of new manufacturing nodes from manufacturing and testing perspectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional organizations including Product Operations, Supplier Management, Planning, Fulfillment, Technology, and Quality to drive business outcomes.
  • Drive qualification of SMT lines for next-generation PCBA technologies, BGA, edge bonding, large press-fit connectors, and process characterizations.
  • Build a strong organization with leadership bench strength, capabilities for the future, and engagement.
  • Focus on Supply Chain innovation through process, tools, and test reengineering and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of broad Supply Chain Electronics Technical Operations experience in Test Development Engineering or Manufacturing Process experience. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of personnel management experience, leadership in Supply Chain, and Team Development.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Functional Test and/or PCBA SMT operations and factory management. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and implement technical strategies.
  • Extensive Project Management skills with the ability to influence all levels and build trust to achieve shared goals and drive accountability.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL, Impala, and understanding of Design For Test (DFT).
  • Knowledge of Statistical Analysis.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and flexibility.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate and connect people.
  • Master of Science in Business is a plus.
