Formación

  • 5+ years of experience in medium-sized projects in the Dairy & Food industry.
  • Knowledge of engineering calculation and design tools is valuable.

Responsabilidades

Join our Liquid & Powder Technologies Team in Mexico and support us as a Technical Offer Engineer.

To manage a project group in the “Special Execution Group Concentrates” in cooperation with Division Representative, Engineering and Service Execution Manager and Offer Manager securing an optimal execution of projects.

Add to the Project Management Function for Mexico Mid Size Organization –for
Local and Global scalability.

Have to align with Center of Competence with regards to R&D/ Application Development.
Sales & execution of projects has to be aligned with respective LPT Center of Competence with regard to price level, risk exposure, KPIs and requested support of CoC.

The project group is dedicated to project management.

Manage a group of employees applying a coaching approach evaluating and developing the group of employees as a team and at an individual level. Maintain a good cooperation in the group.

Securing that projects are delivered in compliance with time schedule, budget, cash flow and staffing. Meet budget and strategic targets defined and secure a proper reporting to the Division Representative in the Country.

He may also be "used" to Project management function for projects outside Mexico and within the Latin America Region ( Currently Conaprole Project).

Responsibilities / Tasks

Main responsibilities

  • Know manufacturing processes in the “Dairy & Food” industry.
  • (Valuable) Knowledge in drying processes.
  • Generate pre-engineering of projects:
    • Process dimensioning
    • Production time schedules
    • Block diagrams
    • P&IDs
    • Cleaning In Place distribution
    • Layout (Matching process requirements: Drains, pipe mass, operation and safety requirements…)
    • Calculation of product losses
    • Calculation of budget for the project equipment and execution.
  • Dimensioning, equipment list generation and ordering of thermal and mechanical equipment (pumps, pipes, steam, valves, heat exchangers…) for the “Dairy & Food” powder industry
  • Coordinate with different areas (sales, procurement, external GEA offices and technological centers of competence, logistics, electrical and automation engineering, process engineering, project management) for the manufacturing and installation of equipment in the region
  • Analyze project cost and prepare schedule plans for effective implementation of this project
  • Review existing process engineering and make necessary changes to support project execution when necessary
  • Lead technical design reviews for projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Use of 2D design tools - AutoCAD
  • Conduct technical discussions and order clarification meetings with customers and/or end suppliers, to ensure that the engineering meets customer and process requirements.
  • Provide technical problem support and claim resolution, including root cause analysis
  • Act as a facilitator between counterparts or other competencies
  • General engineering and consulting work
  • Detail engineering of projects, if needed
  • Drive improvement of technical solutions and secure best technology and learning is implemented into our engineering work and process design to the benefit of our customers
  • Drive improvement of technical solutions and secure proper technology and design, to comply with the guidelines of hygiene and sanitation regulatory bodies (i.e., EHEDG, 3A)
  • (Valuable) Use of 3D design tools

Your Profile / Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Degree in engineering: Chemical and Food (Preferred), Industrial and Mechanical (Depending on applicable experience)
  • (Valuable) Master’s Degree and/or specific trainings in related technical technologies / processes

Profesional Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ Years of experience working in medium sized projects for the “Dairy & Food” industry
  • (Valuable) Knowledge of main engineering calculation and design tools
