Job Description

In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results based on the 6 Stars model. You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check-act cycle, and provide coaching and training for your team.

How you will contribute

You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets. You will understand losses in your area and take appropriate actions to eliminate them. You will support new product development using autonomous and progressive maintenance standards. Ensuring safety processes (e.g., safety maps, lockout/tagout, behavior observation system, root-cause analysis), performing quality assurance activities to ensure zero harm and high-quality products, and properly allocating resources during your shift are key responsibilities. You will lead shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reduction, loss analysis, and breakdown elimination.

• Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
• Maintaining equipment independently at basic conditions, including executing AM & PM standards
• Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma, including qualification of AM steps 5-6 and PM step 3
• Leading line teams
• Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully
• Influencing people in a union environment
• Effective verbal and written communication and attention to detail
