Job Description
- Lead or support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives such as A3/Kaizen/GB/PM.
- Work closely with all support departments to resolve daily production issues.
- Train, develop, and enforce adherence to the applicable DOP and SOP of Quality System & Manufacturing.
- Perform interviews, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and manage workload; monitor development plans (TAP); reward and discipline employees; manage conflicts.
- Plan, supervise, drive improvement, and report on production performance (Output/Yield/RCA/Efficiency).
- Onboard new employees and track their requirements.
- Deploy and sustain IPS Initiatives (Std work/Tiers/VSM/6S/CI Program/RCA).
- Motivate employees, provide expectations, and give feedback quarterly and during stand-ups.
- Address line support issues; document, report, and escalate problems or concerns.
- Learn and enforce company safety policies and practices, QA audits, safety projects, and 8D reports.
- Revise Manufacturing Process Instructions to ensure accuracy or propose improvements.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
- Review and disposition discrepant material; improve material usage and implement corrective actions.
- Drive our culture strategy by fostering our mission, principles, and leadership expectations; create employee survey action plans.
- Collaborate with corporate engineering on production line transfers or improvements.
- Support corporate Quality improvement CAPA implementations and lead QA improvements.
- Assist engineering FMR.
- Ensure completion of ISU training for self and employees.
- Support process validation activities.
Qualifications
- External candidates: Minimum 3 years of supervisor or engineering experience.
- Internal candidates: Minimum 1 year in the internal development program; Bachelor's degree in related fields.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFT, and Six Sigma.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
- Basic knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes such as Packaging, PLC, Thermoforming, Robots.
- Proficient in personal computers; familiar with Microsoft Office, MRP, SAP, and Agile preferred.
