A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a qualified Supervisor to drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and oversee production staff in Mexicali. This role involves training and developing employees, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining safety protocols. Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisor or engineering experience for external candidates.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFT, and Six Sigma required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.

Job Description
  1. Lead or support Lean Manufacturing Initiatives such as A3/Kaizen/GB/PM.
  2. Work closely with all support departments to resolve daily production issues.
  3. Train, develop, and enforce adherence to the applicable DOP and SOP of Quality System & Manufacturing.
  4. Perform interviews, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and manage workload; monitor development plans (TAP); reward and discipline employees; manage conflicts.
  5. Plan, supervise, drive improvement, and report on production performance (Output/Yield/RCA/Efficiency).
  6. Onboard new employees and track their requirements.
  7. Deploy and sustain IPS Initiatives (Std work/Tiers/VSM/6S/CI Program/RCA).
  8. Motivate employees, provide expectations, and give feedback quarterly and during stand-ups.
  9. Address line support issues; document, report, and escalate problems or concerns.
  10. Learn and enforce company safety policies and practices, QA audits, safety projects, and 8D reports.
  11. Revise Manufacturing Process Instructions to ensure accuracy or propose improvements.
  12. Conduct annual performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
  13. Review and disposition discrepant material; improve material usage and implement corrective actions.
  14. Drive our culture strategy by fostering our mission, principles, and leadership expectations; create employee survey action plans.
  15. Collaborate with corporate engineering on production line transfers or improvements.
  16. Support corporate Quality improvement CAPA implementations and lead QA improvements.
  17. Assist engineering FMR.
  18. Ensure completion of ISU training for self and employees.
  19. Support process validation activities.
Qualifications
  1. External candidates: Minimum 3 years of supervisor or engineering experience.
  2. Internal candidates: Minimum 1 year in the internal development program; Bachelor's degree in related fields.
  3. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFT, and Six Sigma.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
  6. Basic knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes such as Packaging, PLC, Thermoforming, Robots.
  7. Proficient in personal computers; familiar with Microsoft Office, MRP, SAP, and Agile preferred.
