  • Manage and oversee REPSE compliance and all labor-related tax and regulatory obligations under Mexican law.

  • Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation and country-by-country reporting requirements applicable to the Mexican entity.

  • Coordinate with the U.S. Head of Tax on international tax strategy, FATCA/CRS reporting, and cross-border optimization initiatives relevant to Omni’s Mexico operations.

Tax Authority Relations & Audit Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with the SAT (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) and state tax authorities for information requests, audits (visitas domiciliarias, revisiones de gabinete), and administrative proceedings.

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel to prepare responses, supporting documentation, and legal arguments during tax reviews and controversies.

  • Maintain a comprehensive tax calendar and ensure zero-deficiency filing of all obligaciones fiscales; elevate material risks to the Finance Director and corporate tax team on a timely basis.

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Support tax planning initiatives including investment incentives, deductibility optimization, regional tax benefits, and other strategies applicable to the luxury hospitality and real estate sector in Mexico.

  • Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation (CFF, LISR, LIVA, LIMSS, state codes) and assess their operational and financial impact on the property; provide timely guidance to Finance, HR, Legal, and operational leadership.

  • Prepare tax analysis, memoranda, and risk assessments for the Finance Director and the U.S. corporate tax team, including annual effective tax rate (ETR) projections and deferred tax calculations.

  • Leverage ERP systems (Opera Cloud PMS integration, SAP or equivalent) and tax reporting platforms to ensure accurate pre-nómina data, CFDI 4.0 timbrado, and fiscal reporting workflows.

  • Implement and monitor KPIs related to tax compliance efficiency, filing accuracy, and audit readiness; report results quarterly to the Finance Director.

  • Experience with transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and international tax coordination within a U.S.-affiliated corporate structure.

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with local and U.S. corporate stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with ERP and tax reporting systems (SAP or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple filing deadlines and audit processes simultaneously.
