Forvia is seeking a Tools & Equipment Buyer (m/f) in Querétaro to drive sourcing of tools, fixtures, gauges, and packaging for Faurecia Clean Mobility.

You will lead the T&E sourcing list, create RFQs, and coordinate with tooling engineers across the program management system to ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in engineering, at least five years’ automotive purchasing experience, and bilingual English skills.

• Minimum 5 years experience as Buyer in an automotive environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and follow up the program T&E sourcing list with the stakeholders to ensure all tools and equipment are included until delivery including purchasing process.
• Prepare the sourcing strategy according to the production processes, program requirements, production footprint and regional supplier panel or global if applies.
• Create and manage the requests for quotations to the suppliers properly elaborated by the Tooling Coordinator/Engineer.

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

• The Tools & Equipment Buyer (m/f) is responsible for the sourcing of the tools, fixtures, gages,
• equipment and packaging for the in-house production of Faurecia Clean Mobility.
• The activities of the Tools & Equipment Buyer follow the framework of the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS) and start with the nomination phase of new programs and finish until program SOP, including ECR’s and series production changes. She is part of the global T&E organisation, who has the task to define and execute the tooling and equipment procurement strategy of Faurecia Clean Mobility, enabling successful starts of production of new projects in the Faurecia sides.
• The main missions of the Tools & Equipment Buyer are to:
• Lead and follow up the program T&E sourcing list with the stakeholders to ensure all tools and equipment are included until delivery including purchasing process.
• Prepare the sourcing strategy according to the production processes, program requirements, production footprint and regional supplier panel or global if applies.
• Create and manage the requests for quotations to the suppliers properly elaborated by the Tooling Coordinator/Engineer.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

• Masters degree in engineering with a professional experience / specialisation in international
• purchasing or commercial education with an additional technical background
• Minimum 5 years experience as Buyer in an industrial environment for the automotive branch
• Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work autonomous in a matrix organisation
• International mind set, overseas experience is a plus
• Negotiating skills and assertiveness.
• Minimum bi-lingual (English required).
• Good Knowledge of MS Office tools and SAP R/3 MM.
• Ability to work under organization and following the process.
