AutoZone de México seeks an experienced software sub-systems engineer to develop, maintain and support our hardware, software and network subsystems. You will apply domain knowledge, mentor teammates and help ensure system integrity and uptime across AutoZone platforms.
Requirements: a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; 3–5 years of software development; proficiency with UNIX/Linux/Windows; programming in Java, C or C++; experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Informix or DB2;
To deliver desired, sustainable business outcomes and assure the integrity and continuity of our systems. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone’s hardware, software and/or network sub-systems. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, mentoring less experienced AutoZoners, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.
Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent
Area of study: Computer Science or related field
Years of experience: 3-5 years.
Advanced proficiency with the AutoZone software, architecture and methodology. Technical skills may include experience with one or more of:
Solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills
Solid expertise in at least one technical area
Subject Matter Expert in ONE functional area
Advanced task estimation and planning skills
Ability to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision
Other/preferred: Communication and analytical skills/English
