FORVIA HELLA in Tlaquepaque, Mexico, is seeking a skilled System Test Engineer to lead system-level verification activities for Power Electronics products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that system requirements are verified through detailed test design, execution, and analysis.

As a System Test Engineer, you will execute system-level verification activities focused on functional testing and System Integration Testing (ASPICE SYS.4) for Power Electronics products. You will ensure that system requirements are correctly verified through structured test design, execution, and analysis.

You will contribute to the validation lifecycle by supporting test strategy definition, preparing and executing test cases, and ensuring traceability and quality of results. Acting as a key technical contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and efficient system validation.

YOUR TASKS

• Analyze customer requirements and system specifications, ensuring proper understanding and testability.
• Derive, develop, and maintain test cases for functional and system integration testing (ASPICE SYS.4), covering standard, diagnostic, and robustness scenarios.
• Execute manual and automated test cases, including exploratory testing and basic system-level validation activities.
• Apply advanced test methodologies and techniques using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
• Understand system functionality and operational limits to ensure full coverage and identification of test boundaries.
• Evaluate, interpret, and document test results, ensuring traceability and compliance with defined processes.
• Identify failures, perform initial root cause analysis, report defects, and propose improvement actions.
• Support test automation development and continuous optimization of test processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Systems, HW, SW, Quality) and establish a stable interface with project stakeholders.
• Participate in reviews during development lifecycle phases and contribute to test documentation and reporting.
• Provide on-site or customer test support when required.
• Contribute to and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including implementation of new ideas, methods, and innovations.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
• 2–5 years of experience in automotive electronics testing or validation.
• Experience in functional testing and/or system integration testing (SYS.4).
• Basic understanding of ASPICE, V-model, and automotive development processes.
• Knowledge of test methods, measurement equipment, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) is a plus.
• Familiarity with OEM validation requirements is an advantage.
• Experience collaborating with global locations is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• ISTQB would be an advantage.
