Understands, masters, and executes process maintenance improvements through project execution and applicable validations/evaluations. Continues to develop knowledge and applicable tools for completing assigned actions or projects at an intermediate level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities mentioned in this document are illustrative but not limited to; the incumbent will perform other functions and tasks related to their work area that derive from the area's objectives and strategies.

• Performs engineering work requiring full proficiency in all conventional aspects of engineering.

• Be able to perform root cause analysis, implement corrections and robust corrective actions using critical thinkings, proactive approach, and sound judgement.

• Plan and execute changes such as but not limited to material changes, product design changes, BOM updates, changes to the assembly processes, manufacturing and quality procedure updates, validation of new test methods, line transfers and associated qualifications.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously such as quality improvement including CAPAs, cost reduction projects, business continuity projects, and new product development projects. Create and drive project timelines.

• Improve process yield, reduce scrap and waste, and reduce non-conformances.

• Present data in clear and concise method. Perform and document engineering studies.

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, company policies, and engineering standards.

Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of basic statistics such t-test, Cpk analysis, boxplots, histograms, normal probability analysis.

• Understanding of PFMEA (process failure mode effect analysis), Gage R&R, value stream maps, and process flow charts

• Working knowledge of Solidworks – create 3D models and assembly, stack-up analysis, creating drawing, and dimensioning.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with collaborators, both within and outside the unit.

• Ability to critically review and interpret technical documentation.

• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.

• Ability to clearly convey ideas and concepts verbally and in writing.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and with team members.

• Ability to exercise judgment in making preliminary selections and adapting engineering alternatives.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in science is required. (Educational requirements may be obtained through an educational institution or through equivalent work experience.)

• 4 years of bachelor's degree in engineering or similar, 2-5 years of experience, or 1-2 years with a postgraduate degree.

• Thorough understanding and broad application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the engineering field.

• General knowledge of disciplines (GPM, GQR, sales, and operations)
