The Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey is seeking a Surface Specialist to support electrical, thermal, magnetic, and functional characterization of materials and devices using advanced measurement platforms.

You will operate and maintain characterization instrumentation (XPS, NanoDSC, DMA, ITC), train users, assist with sample prep and data interpretation, and contribute to laboratory quality and service records.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with lab experience.
• Experience operating scientific instrumentation is desirable.
• Fluent or advanced English (B2) needed.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain characterization instrumentation focusing on XPS, NanoDSC, DMA and ITC.
• Train students and researchers in using laboratory equipment and services.
• Provide sample preparation, experimental planning, image acquisition, and data interpretation.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, service records, and documentation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and interact with suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of microscopy services and lab capabilities.
