Within the scope of the general management principles of BekaertDeslee, this position is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and customer locations within North America. This role drives excellence in planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and customer satisfaction. The position partners closely with Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams to develop and execute regional supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Act as the primary regional supply chain interface with business leaders and customers.
- Develop and execute regional supply chain strategies that align with company goals.
- Lead cross-functional supply chain initiatives to improve service levels, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to align supply chain strategies and priorities.
- Present business performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Oversee demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and inventory optimization processes.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and capacity planning to support customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and working capital performance.
- Leverage ERP capabilities (SAP) to drive productivity throughout the entire supply chain.
- Manage regional transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Optimize logistics networks to improve cost, delivery performance, and service reliability.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and carriers to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and transportation standards.
- Partner with sourcing and procurement teams (CPT) to ensure material availability and supplier performance.
- Support supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Drive supplier collaboration initiatives to improve lead times, quality, and cost performance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Inventory Turns, Forecast Accuracy, Customer Service Level, Supply Chain Cost, Transportation Cost, Working Capital, and Production Plan Adherence.
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to achieve business targets.
- Utilize analytics and digital tools to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
- Support system implementations and supply chain transformation projects.
Profile
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within manufacturing and/or industrial environments
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-site or regional operations
- Experience with scheduling in a just-in-time, multi-location, high-volume manufacturing B2B environment. APICS certification preferred
- Experience with an ERP system is essential (SAP experience preferred)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience dealing with constantly changing schedules and/or expediting, as well as managing conflicting customer priorities and negotiating effective resolutions
- Managerial experience with a successful track record in leadership and team building. A team player with the ability to enable changes in business processes and work cooperatively with all levels of the organization toward mutual objectives
