IBM is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering Professional in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. You will collaborate with development, services delivery, and planning teams to create roadmaps, improve quality, and communicate technical specs while aligning with global standards.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, cost-conscious service delivery improvements, and cross-functional teamwork across supplier and internal stakeholders within an infrastructure and technology context.

Formación

  • Exposure to technical development with focus on early product development and quality management.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives including supplier performance, tooling, delivery, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with warranty and post-warranty service delivery and cost reduction.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Engineering Professional, you will work technically with various stakeholders to drive early product development, serviceability, and quality management. This role focuses on managing and developing technology and support roadmaps, communicating technical specifications, and driving continuous quality improvement.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Technology Roadmaps: Manage and develop technology roadmaps for selected products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards. This involves collaborating with development, services delivery, and service planning teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Drive Quality Improvement: Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, focusing on supplier commodity field performance, tooling, and delivery. This includes analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate Technical Specifications: Communicate technical specifications to stakeholders, ensuring that products meet quality and regulatory requirements. This involves working closely with quality teams to ensure compliance with environmental and social responsibility directives.
  • Improve Service Delivery: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve warranty and post-warranty service delivery, reducing costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze Product Performance: Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement, driving actions to improve results for the product or IoT.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Exposure to Technical Development: Experience working with development teams on early product development, serviceability, and quality management, with a focus on technology convergence and qualification.

  • Technical Communication Skills: Experience communicating technical specifications to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Service Delivery Exposure: Exposure to warranty and post-warranty service delivery, including cost reduction and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Experience analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, driving actions to enhance product performance.

Preferred technical and professional experience
