OPmobility is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Battery in León, Mexico. The role focuses on supplier development, APQP/PPAP processes, and cross-functional support to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met within the automotive battery sector.

The candidate will read blueprints, perform GD&T analysis, and drive improvements with suppliers and internal teams, aligning with the company’s sustainable mobility goals.

Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Facilitate supplier development to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy requirements — cost, quality, delivery, lean manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement SOPA/APQP at supplier sites.
  • Manage supplier development activities for VA/VE improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commodity Buyers, PSQE).
  • Evaluate suppliers and perform manufacturing assessments to support procurement strategies.
  • Support manufacturing plants with high-impact supplier issues as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate development of supplier to meet Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy requirements - cost, quality, delivery, lean manufacturing, during supplier on site review, TS16949 (IATF 16949) evaluation, etc.
  • Develop and implement Supplier Onsite Process Approval (SOPA/APQP)
  • Manage supplier development activities to support VA/VE improvements in quality, cost, and delivery at suppliers.
  • Support internal PO Auto Inergy customers (Program Teams, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commodity Buyers, PSQE)
  • Evaluate supp.liers and perform manufacturing assessments to develop and support purchasing strategic supplier panel
  • Support the Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy manufacturing plants with High Impact supplier issues, as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
  • Bachelor's degree required (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Technical or Business)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working at an automotive manufacturer or Tier I automotive within the role of quality or engineering
  • Hands on experience in APQP and PPAP
  • Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T
  • Gauging – Measurement Systems Analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ – CQE) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ – CQA) and plus
