PHINIA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure materials and components meet specs and to reduce supply chain risks.

You will evaluate suppliers, conduct audits, manage PPAP closures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and logistics. English proficiency is required, with a focus on IATF 16949 and related quality tools.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar supplier quality role.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality tools.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and PPAP processes.
• Proficient in English (Conversational/Business).

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate suppliers to ensure quality requirements and technical capabilities.
• Conduct supplier audits for standards and processes.
• Carry out PTR runs and close the PPAP for validated components.
• Analyze supplier performance using quality metrics.
• Manage supplier non-conformities and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics to resolve quality issues.
• Develop strategic suppliers to improve performance.
• Validate supplier process changes and monitor impact.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure specifications are met.
• Generate performance reports to support decision-making.

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure the quality of materials and components supplied by vendors through evaluation, auditing, and development, guaranteeing compliance with specifications and reducing risks in the supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements and technical capabilities.
• Conduct supplier audits to verify compliance with standards and processes.
• Responsible for carrying out PTR runs for initial component samples and closing the PPAP process for each validated component.
• Analyze supplier performance through quality indicators.
• Manage supplier non-conformities and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics to resolve quality-related issues.
• Develop strategic suppliers to improve their performance levels.
• Validate supplier process changes to ensure controlled impact.
• Monitor deliveries to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Generate performance reports to support decision-making.

What we're looking for

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 3 years or more in a similar role.

Technical Knowledge Required: Core Tools
