SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER.
Description- Evaluate the supplier’s performance to meet the customer quality targets
- Oversee the industrialization of electric and electronics components
- Work along with suppliers to meet all needed activities and avoid deviation
- Review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues
- Participate with supplier in the different events: Pre-series, series, capacity check, ISIR, buy offs and Q-checks
- Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow up / validation of actions
- Carry out supplier qualification and requalification on time
- Detect and promptly inform about potential risks
- Gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the corresponding platforms
- Participate actively in regular meetings to provide status to top management and project reviews
Requirements- Bachelor´s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related
- 5 to 7 years of experience inside the Automotive Industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes (electric and electronics components)
- Experience with product/process audits according to international standards (VDA, IATF16949 and/or ISO 9001)
- Strong knowledge of Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Good knowledge of quality processes and quality tools
- Good knowledge of measurement techniques, GD&T
- Certified Quality auditor under ISO 19011 or VDA 6.3 (desirable)
- Handling of KPIs and reporting
- Gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing)
- Willing to travel within Mexico
- Fluent English
