Join Miba Precision Technologies Mexico as a Supplier Quality Engineer, driving quality from supplier selection to serial production. You will lead capability assessments, audits, PPAP/PPF validations, and help ensure supplier readiness for Start of Production.

You will develop supplier improvement plans, maintain scorecards, and coordinate containment and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa methods, while aligning with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.

What you can expect

1. Supplier Qualification and Development

• Evaluate and approve new suppliers according to company and customer requirements.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments and process audits.
• Support supplier selection activities together with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations.
• Develop supplier improvement plans and monitor execution.

2. New Product Launch Management

• Review and approve PPAP/PPF submissions.
• Validate process capability studies, MSA, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Production Trial Runs.
• Ensure readiness of suppliers before SOP (Start of Production).
• PPM (Parts Per Million)
• Delivery Quality
• Audit Results
• Cost of Poor Quality
• Maintain supplier scorecards and communicate performance results.
• Initiate escalation processes when supplier performance falls below targets.
• Perform:
  • Process Audits
  • System Audits
  • Product Audits
• Evaluate compliance with:
  • IATF 16949
  • ISO 9001
  • Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
  • VDA 6.3 (when applicable)
• Follow up audit findings until closure.

5. Problem Solving and Corrective Actions

• Lead containment activities for supplier-related quality issues.
• Drive root cause analysis using:
  • 8D
  • 5 Why
  • Ishikawa
  • Statistical analysis tools
• Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate supplier recovery plans.
