Metso seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Irapuato, MX, to strengthen the material flow and supplier performance across its Mexican operations.

You will define and implement supplier quality plans, lead audits, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams, ensuring quality from supplier to Metso units. English communication and collaboration with global teams are essential.

Qualificações

• Degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience in supplier quality management is preferred.
• ISO certifications, WPS, and Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop supplier quality management processes.
• Deploy and follow up supplier audits.
• Develop and update supplier quality plans and inspection processes.
• Plan incoming material inspection and ensure correct processes.
• Analyze non-conformities with procurement and drive corrective actions.
• Manage Corrective Action Requests and related tasks.
• Provide technical input on supplier quality problems.
• Lead improvement projects and supplier quality teams.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Primary Location: Irapuato, GUA, MX

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our procurement Team. In this role, you will

Contribute through own work significantly on the high-quality material flow to Metso units. The assignment contains from different problem-solving situation, analysing processes, documenting the root causes and to following the agreed corrective actions.

The job scope is working with suppliers used or to be used in the supply operation of Metso in México.

This role isbased inIrapuato.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of Supplier quality management
• Deploying supplier audit program and follow up outcomes
• Developing and updating supplier quality plans, including process flow, operation instruction, quality control methods during the key processes
• Developing the inspection plan of incoming material inspection flow and guarantee the suppliers implementing the correct inspection process
• Support the operative purchasing and procurement on analysing the non-conformities and claims relating the supplier management and achieving corrective actions internally and among suppliers
• Corrective Action Request Management. Corrective Action and Preventive Action and Y6 SAP Q-Notification for Supplier issues
• Giving technical comments on product quality problems of suppliers
• Participate on agreed development and improvement projects and implement the agreed actions to achieve the better performance
• Participating in different groups and projects as supplier quality expert
• Supplier Quality Documentation Management
• Other tasks assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Recognised degree in relevant field.
• More than 3 years’ experience from supplier quality management
• Experience on project management practises
• Experience with ISO certifications, WPS, and Six Sigma is preferred.
• Assessor experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Good knowledge level on quality management concepts and ability to apply them to practise
• Ability to lead process and projects
• Know-how on factors affecting competitiveness
• Excellent commend of MS office and other IT tools.
• Good skills on English
• Good negotiation and training skills
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques
• Product knowledge
