Job description

At TLNT, we believe that recruitment is more than just filling roles — it's about connecting humans with humans. We're a people-first organization partnering with top U.S. companies to help them grow by attracting exceptional talent, and we know that the right content can open the right doors.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a leading US-based company — based in Mexico.

You'll join a 100-year-old American manufacturer of premium kitchen appliances — family-owned for four generations, still manufacturing in-house in Ohio, and selling in 130 countries. Its machines are built to survive years of daily use in home kitchens and commercial foodservice alike, and that durability starts long before final assembly: with every part that arrives from a supplier.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be the quality voice across the North American supply base. Working with Sourcing, Engineering, Operations and the suppliers themselves, you'll drive supplier qualification, launch readiness and continuous improvement — partnering with suppliers to raise their manufacturing capability, not just inspect it.

This is a hands-on, on-site role. Expect to travel 25–40% of the time, mostly within North America, to run audits, lead investigations and support product launches at supplier facilities.

What You'll Do
  • Supplier performance. Manage quality for your assigned suppliers — performance reviews, audits and corrective actions — and track results through established metrics.
  • Quality planning. Define and implement quality requirements for new and existing suppliers, and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Supplier development. Run capability assessments and quality-system evaluations, and partner with suppliers to strengthen processes, process controls and inspection methods.
  • Drawings and GD&T. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T to assess supplier capability and resolve dimensional issues.
  • New product introduction. Support supplier qualification, supplier transfers and product launches, and coordinate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) from planning through approval.
  • Launch readiness. Work with Engineering and suppliers on control plans, special characteristics, inspection methods and acceptance criteria, so suppliers build to spec consistently.
  • Root cause and corrective action. Lead supplier root cause investigations with structured problem-solving, and verify that corrective actions are implemented on time and actually work.
  • Data and COPQ. Analyze supplier quality data to spot trends, recommend improvements and help reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Strategic sourcing. Support sourcing decisions with supplier evaluations, manufacturing capability assessments and risk identification.
  • Relationships. Build collaborative, long-term relationships with suppliers and internal teams that keep quality performance improving.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Engineering or Operations.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier quality improvement, manufacturing processes and structured problem-solving.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, supplier qualification and product launches.
  • Working knowledge of APQP and FAIR, root cause analysis, auditing, and data analysis — GD&T and SPC/process capability.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, plus the ability to coordinate projects across functions.
  • Availability to travel 25–40%, primarily within North America.
Nice to Have
  • Experience conducting supplier audits or quality assessments.
  • Experience with global suppliers or international manufacturing environments.
  • Supplier development and new supplier qualification experience.
  • A background in consumer products, small appliances, food service equipment or related manufacturing.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification.
Salary & Perks
  • Competitive Pay: We hire top talent and compensate accordingly.
  • Full statutory benefits under Mexican labor law, including aguinaldo, vacation premium, and IMSS/INFONAVIT contributions.
  • This is a full-time, long-term position with room to grow.
  • The position is immediately available.
