ZF LIFETEC in Chihuahua, Mexico is seeking a quality professional to drive supplier development for Passive Safety systems across all business units. You will manage supplier assessments, APQP tracking, and PPAP readiness with cross-functional teams to ensure external supplier quality and readiness for production.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in quality or related fields, strong technical background, and expertise in Six Sigma, GD&T, and IATF/VDA standards.

Formación

• 1–3 years of quality or related experience.
• Experience in quality and engineering with a strong technical background.
• Expert in automotive quality tools and Six Sigma; GD&T; VDA and AIAG standards for APQP tracking and PPAP approvals.
• Certified auditor (IATF / VDA).

Responsabilidades

• Drive supplier development across BUs to guarantee external supplier quality.
• Lead new supplier approvals, assessments, and APQP tracking until PPAP release.
• Collaborate with Div R MM, product lines and cross-functions to ensure sourcing readiness.
• Verify suitability of new suppliers and lead the PPAP/PPAP release decisions.
• Drive supplier development, troubleshooting and escalations.
• Achieve KPIs for OTP, defect ratios, and other management KPIs.
• Support supplier serial production performance in quality, logistics and efficiency.
• Contribute to Part Family Strategies and core engineering developments.

Your Tasks

• Within the assigned commodity driving the supplier development tasks (L4) for Passive Safety systems, across all BUs (IRS, SBS, SWS) in any region.
• Responsible for new supplier approvals, supplier assessment & performance, technical reviews (as part of sourcing process) and APQP tracking till PPAP release (Supp. Readiness).
• Executing strategic, tactical and operational SDE tasks in collaboration with Div R MM, product lines and cross-functions as SQA to guarantee external supplier Quality.
• Collaboration with cross-functions CP, PP, SQA, Quality, PM, Engineering, Controlling, PLs, etc.
• Tasks: verify the suitability of new suppliers; and lead the approval process of new components, this includes leading PSTR as mandatory part of sourcing, definition & tracking of APQP elements, decision about PPAP release.
• Drive supplier developments, troubleshooting and Escalations.
• Achieve KPI’s for OTP, SLP C. Ratio, PPM, C. Ratio & other KPI’s assigned by management.
• Actively supporting supplier serial production performance in Quality, logistic and efficiency.
• Take part & support Part Family Strategies, Core Eng. New developments, Purchasing saving activities

Your Profile

• 1-3 years of quality or related experience required.
• Experience in Quality and Eng. with excellent technical background.
• Expert in Automotive Quality tools, Six Sigma methodology, GD&T, VDA & AIAG standards specially for APQP tracking & PPAP approvals.
• Certified auditor (IATF / VDA).
