Position Summary

The Supplier Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier records in the company’s systems. This role ensures compliance with company policies, regional regulations, and data integrity standards globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Maintenance:

  • Enter and update supplier information (e.g., contact details, banking information, tax IDs) in the master data system.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.

Document Verification:

  • Review and validate supplier documentation, including tax forms, banking details, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Follow up with suppliers/internal customers to resolve discrepancies or incomplete submissions.

Compliance and Policies:

  • Adhere to company data governance policies and regional regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive supplier information.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with procurement, accounts payable, and supplier teams to address data-related inquiries.
  • Assist in supplier onboarding processes and support data audits as needed.

Reporting and Audits:

  • Generate periodic reports on supplier data quality and address identified gaps.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements related to supplier master data.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred).

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry, procurement, accounts payable, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • This position is based in Mexico and may require occasional travel to company offices or supplier sites.
