Job summary

Cooper Standard in Mexico seeks a proactive Front Line Supervisor to lead a maintenance team within our production facility, ensuring machines stay in optimal condition and TPM processes are upheld. You will train new staff and drive adherence to quality, environment and safety standards on site.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge, with emphasis on GD&T and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the production machines in optimal conditions.

• Monitor the TPM ranges in each operation and maintain updated ranges.
• Promote and properly utilize quality, environment, and safety systems and practices.
• Prepare requisitions for all personnel assigned area.
• Participate in and evaluate failures on different machines.
• Comply with IATF 16949 policies and procedures.
• Comply with ISO 14001 according to FTM-EHS-12. Matrix of Roles Responsibility and Authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Keep the production machines in optimal conditions
2. Lead the team of maintenance technicians to respond in a timely manner to the maintenance needs of the production machinery
3. Actively participate in the training of new staff
4. Monitor the compliance of the ranges of TPM in each of the operations, and maintain controlled and updated said ranges
5. Promote and propely utilize the systems, procedures and practices described in the systems of quality, environment and safety.
6. Preparation of requisitions for all personnel assigned area.
7. Participation and evaluation of failures presented on different machines.
8. Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949.
9. Complies with ISO 14001 according to FTM-EHS-12. Matrix of Roles Responsibility and Authority.
