Allegion Tecate is seeking an experienced Tool Room Supervisor to lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for tooling, molds, and fixtures in a high‑volume manufacturing facility. You will drive continuous improvement, manage a team of Tool Room Technicians, and ensure 99.5% tool availability and quality compliance.

You will supervise tooling maintenance programs, coordinate mold refurbishments, and work with CAD/CAM tools and CNC programming, while coordinating with ERP systems

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/industrial engineering field is required.
• 5+ years in Tool Room/Tooling Maintenance within manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong hands-on mold repair and tooling maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and CNC programming.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and execute maintenance programs for molds, dies, and tooling to maximize availability and efficiency.
• Track mold life, coordinate refurbishments, and plan end-of-life replacements.
• Lead and develop Tool Room Technicians (Levels A, B, C).
• Participate in design, development, and fabrication of fixtures using CAD/CAM and CNC programming.
• Lead root cause analysis for tooling failures and drive scrap reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and ISO quality standards; assist with audits and budget control.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tool Room Supervisor to lead and coordinate the preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs for tooling, molds, and fixtures. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum tool availability, overseeing spare parts manufacturing, driving continuous improvement projects, and leading a team of specialized Tool Room Technicians in a world-class manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Tooling & Mold Maintenance: Supervise and execute total predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs for production molds, dies, and tooling to achieve ≥ 99.5% availability and ≥ 95% efficiency.
• Tool Life & Shot Tracking: Maintain and update the mold shot counter matrix, coordinate mold refurbishments, and plan end-of-life mold replacements.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop Tool Room Technicians (Levels A, B, C); identify training needs and manage departmental goals and performance.
• Tool Design & Fabrication: Participate in the design, development, machining, implementation, and certification of manufacturing and inspection fixtures using CAD/CAM and CNC programming.
• Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis (A3 / BPS methodologies) for tooling failures, reduce downtime, and drive scrap reduction initiatives.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with EHS regulations (OSHA 18001 / ISO 14001) and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001). Actively participate in internal/external audits.
• Budget & Resource Management: Assist in department budget administration (AOP), spare parts inventory control, and purchase requisitions through ERP systems (Oracle).

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field ( Título requerido ).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Tool Room / Tooling Maintenance environments within the manufacturing industry, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong hands-on knowledge in mold repair, tooling maintenance (TPM), and machining processes. Proficiency in CAD software ( CREO or SolidWorks ) and CNC programming/operation. Advanced handling of MS Office (Excel / Macros).
• Systems: Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Workday, Kronos) is preferred.
• Languages: Intermediate to Advanced English (capable of reading technical documentation and business conversations).
