About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Urban Development Project Supervisor to oversee key projects in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX . This role is pivotal in managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of urban development initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, community engagement, and sustainable practices. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, government officials, and community stakeholders to bring transformative urban projects to fruition. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of urban planning principles, project management, and stakeholder relations, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. This is a hybrid position, requiring a balance of on-site supervision and office-based project management, offering flexibility while ensuring diligent oversight of projects in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX . Key Responsibilities

Supervise the planning, design, and execution of urban development projects, including infrastructure, public spaces, and housing. Ensure projects comply with local zoning laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and master plans. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate with external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, and community groups. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring quality standards, safety protocols, and progress alignment with project plans. Facilitate community consultations and stakeholder engagement processes. Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and updates to management and relevant authorities. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues that may arise during the development process. Promote sustainable development practices and incorporate green building principles where applicable. Review and approve project-related documentation, permits, and plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Public Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in urban development, project management, or a related field. Proven experience in managing urban development projects, including infrastructure and public works. Familiarity with hybrid work environments, balancing field and office responsibilities. Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and land use policies. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Proficiency with project management software and GIS tools. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Understanding of environmental impact assessments and sustainable development practices. Experience working within the regulatory framework of Hermosillo, Sonora, MX or similar Mexican municipalities is highly desirable.
