Formación

About the role of Assistant Engineering Manager:

The Assistant Engineering Manager at a hotel is responsible for supervising and coordinating the preventive and corrective maintenance activities of the electromechanical systems, ensuring the optimal functioning of the hotel facilities. Works closely with the Engineering Manager and other departments to ensure operational efficiency and the safety of guests and employees.

What will you do in this position?

  • Coordinate and supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, generators, and elevators.
  • Monitor the proper functioning of boilers, climate control systems, refrigeration equipment, and other critical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations in the workplace.
  • Supervise safety and environmental inspections and audits.
  • Assist in planning and executing renovation or infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Manage the acquisition of spare parts and materials necessary for hotel maintenance.

What is required for this role?

  • Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in leadership positions within the hotel, industrial, or large facilities maintenance sectors.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, boilers, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance management.
  • Requires knowledge of computer operation.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge in maintenance and operation of motor control systems, variable speed drives, electrical protections, and automation, control boards.
