Job summary

Ford in Mexico seeks a skilled MP&L Supplier Management professional to develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, train suppliers on SAP MM, and monitor performance for improvements. You will conduct readiness reviews, lead audits, and collaborate with Purchasing to resolve noncompliance issues while supporting production with on-site MP&L expertise.

The role requires a engineering or SCM background, 3+ years in automotive, and strong data analytics with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SCM or Business Admin; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years in OEM or Tier1, automotive industry preferred.
• Deep knowledge of SAP-MM and SCM software.
• Experience with supplier evaluation and development.
• Strong MS Office skills and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure cooperation.
• Lead training of suppliers on Ford's SAP MM system across locations.
• Monitor supplier performance data to identify improvement areas.
• Conduct launch readiness reviews with suppliers for new model programs.
• Document findings in the Ford supplier readiness system.
• Evaluate supplier readiness for capacity uplifts and shift additions.
• Lead audits and ensure 30-day pre-MP1 completion.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve supplier noncompliances.
• Provide onsite MP&L support and training for distressed suppliers.
• Perform root cause analysis to improve delivery performance.
• Act as MP&L lead for Ford supplier engagement teams.
• Travel to supplier sites and plants as needed.
