Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a proactive Procurement professional to lead category support, cost-savings initiatives, and supplier management in Querétaro, Mexico. The role requires experience in Purchasing, SAP and advanced Excel, along with strong negotiation skills.

Domestic and international travel up to 15% is expected. Fluent English and a related bachelor's degree are required, with ASCM/ISM certifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Engineering / Quality.
• Experience using SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in negotiations and contracting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent English with good communication skills.
• ASCM: CSCP or ISM: CIPS / CPSM certification.
• Travel up to 15% (domestic & international).

Responsibilities

• Category Support and cost control with Category Managers on cost savings and P2P optimization.
• Assist with sustaining cost-savings projects.
• Partner with Transportation team on freight use and spent.
• Contribute ideas to future cost-savings pipeline and implement savings initiatives.
• Coordinate Purchasing Information Record (PIR) maintenance and master data updates.
• Provide budgeting feedback and support contract management processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and support supplier audits and risk mitigation.
